Chapter 3 -- (Autumn) -- Rated R
I was lying on the sofa watching television when I heard my sister coming back into the apartment. “Welcome home, hunny.” I smiled as I noticed her carrying her books for school and another plastic bag. She didn’t look amused at my sarcasm.
“You wanna help me with this?” She gestured for me to grab the plastic bag from her hand.
I rolled my eyes and sighed as I reluctantly rose to my feet and walked over to her. However I didn't help. I simply guided her to the kitchen with the gesture of my hand.
“I hope you’re hungry. I bought us Chinese food to eat for dinner.” Summer said as I began to follow her to our small kitchen.
“Mmm, sounds delicious.” I said with more sarcasm as if I were happy she thought about me.
Summer looked at me as she suspiciously eyed me up and down. I stepped back and looked down at myself trying to figure out what she was looking at. I then looked back up at her and asked, “What?”
She turned away and started to take out the Chinese food out of the bag. “You’re still wearing the same clothes from this morning. So I take it you didn’t go anywhere today?”
I smirked and placed my hands together taking a bow as if I were a traditional geisha girl and said, “Yes, my lady. I was a good girl. I stayed inside all day to grant your wish.” I then relaxed my arms to my side and shifted my weight on one leg. “Happy?” I asked her with a smirk.
Summer rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to gather her school books and start on her homework.

I waited for my lame ass twin sister to fall asleep. She had her head in her school books ever since she came home from school. I had been in the house all day just so I wouldn’t hear her bitch and complain. And now its my turn to take on the adventures of New York City; The city that never sleeps. I fluffed my hair as I looked at myself in the mirror. I straightened my simple, tight black mini dress and pushed my black framed eyeglasses up onto my nose. I added just a tad more strawberry shimmering lip gloss onto my lips and I was on my way out the door. I was quiet to make sure not to wake my sister.
As I stepped out into the hallway, I heard someone laugh which made me jump to see who was in the hallway with me. That’s when I noticed it was our cute neighbor.
“How is it that we keep meeting up like this?” he smiled as he stood at his door.
He looked like he was just getting home from a long day of work. His tie was loosened and his shirt was halfway unbuttoned exposing his white tank top underneath. I smiled flirtatiously as I walked up to him. “I don’t know…you tell me, good looking?”
He smiled as he looked at me up and down. “You look nice, Summer.”
Damn. He’s already met my sister. My smile instantly dropped. I was no longer interested in my cute neighbor.
“Thanks.” I said and turned around to walk the opposite way.
“Hey,” he said as I heard him rush up to me and gently grab my arm.
I turned to look at him.
“Uhm…I hope im not coming on too strong…but I was wondering if maybe you would like to join me for dinner one night? You know…to kind of welcome you to the neighborhood.” He said with hopeful eyes.
I raised my hand and gently ran my fingers thru his curly hair. He looked like he had stopped breathing. I then smiled and winked at him. “Let me think about it, handsome.” I then turned to walk away.
I made sure to sway my hips since I knew he was watching my ass as I walked away.
“Sure…take your time.” I heard him say as I turned the corner down the hall toward the elevators.

I sat at the bar drinking a bottle of Corona beer with a lime inside. It was obviously a slow night. The place was full of people, but for New York City, I expected more. However, I decided to stick around a little more to finish up my beer. Plus the bartender was kind of cute. I was about to make conversation with the bartender when I noticed a man sitting at the end of the bar staring me down. I felt like he might as well take a picture as long as he was staring at me. I finally turned my head to look in his direction. He nodded his head at me with a wink and a smile. I turned my head away from him. He was obviously flirting with me. I guess he thought I would be amused by his flirtation. It wasn’t long before he sat in the stool next to me at the bar.
“Hi, gorgeous. How are you tonight?” he asked with a sly smile.
“Fine, thanks.” I answered as I took another sip of my Corona.
“I’ve never seen you around here before. Where are you from?”
I began to look at him up and down. He was actually pretty cute. He wore a black shirt and blue jeans, and he had a nice pair of blue eyes. I noticed the watch he wore. It looked pretty expensive. Then I noticed he had a really bright color disfiguration around his ring finger. It looked like a wedding band should have been placed around that finger. I came to the conclusion that he was a married man sitting in a bar trying to pick up women. So typical. This could be fun.
I flipped my hair behind my shoulder before I answered him with a slight smile. “Im from where ever you want me to be.” I said seductively as I winked back at him and then licked my lips.
“Okay. You got a name gorgeous?”
“Autumn.”
“Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. My name is David.” He then handed me his business card.
What the fuck am I supposed to do with this? I took the card from him anyway and read it: David Henrie, Real Estate Agent Manager. His number and email was also listed at the bottom of the card.
“Gee, thanks, David Henrie.”
“You should give me a call sometime.” He smiled and winked at me once again as he took a sip from his bottle of beer.
I giggled as I turned my body to face him in my stool and crossed my legs. “For what?” I said in my most sexy voice.
“I don’t know…show you around a little and have a little fun. You look like a good girl. I can show you how to have a good time.” He smirked as he placed his hand on my knee. He then began rubbing my knee.
I smiled. “So…does your wife know you’re here?”
“Im divorced.” He said as he began rubbing a little higher up my leg.
“Lucky me.” I said with a smile and placing my hand over his hand. I then moved his hand further up my thigh.
“You … uh… wanna get out of here?”
“Where?”
“Uhm…I can get us a room at the hotel right down the street…”
“Why do that when we can go right outside in the back?” I said standing up. I then pressed my chest against his and whispered in his ear, “Im a very bad girl.” I then moved my hand over his crotch and instantly felt him get hard.
“I …I like bad girls.” He whispered back to me.
I then grabbed his hand for him to follow me outside the bar. He followed me like a little puppy dog as we walked outside behind the bar into an alley.
Once we were in the dark alley I turned to him and attacked his lips with my lips. He quickly pressed me against the brick wall as he harshly returned my kiss. He took his hands and began groping me roughly as if he hadn’t had a woman in years. He was rough. But it turned me on. He raised my dress exposing my red thong, as I unbuckled his jeans. He then roughly turned me around, yanking my thong down over my hips and entered me from behind. He grunted as he pumped inside of me. He was really thrusting hard into me to the point where I started to get annoyed. I wanted him to hurry and reach his climax.
I didn’t have to wait long. I felt him quickly pull out as he rested against me. I could feel his body tremble against my back. He finally pulled away from me as he pulled his jeans up. He was out of breath. I guess he needed the work out for those 2 minutes.
“Wow. Thanks beautiful. Autumn, right?” he asked as if trying to remember my name.
I didn’t respond. I continued to lean forward and pull up my thong underwear and pulled my dress down.
“Yeah…you can definitely call me to do this again.” He said proudly.
What he didn’t know was that there wasn’t going to be a next time. What he also didn’t know was that when I bent down to pull up my underwear, I picked up a pipe that was lying on the ground. It was a thick metal tube pipe.
He was too busy adjusting his clothes to realize that as I gripped the pipe in my hand, I turned around and took a hard swing toward his head.
As the pipe hit his head above his right eye brow, I could hear his skull crack. His eyes widened with confusion as he looked back at me. Those pretty blue eyes quickly dropped into a lifeless pair of blues staring back at me. His body fell limp to the pavement as blood began to gush from his head. His body went into a minor convulsion as he laid there on the ground for a few seconds. I stood there to make sure he would die.
Within seconds he was dead. I sighed and stretched my neck slowly from side to side. Talk about a two minute man.
“Hi, gorgeous. How are you tonight?” he asked with a sly smile.

Chapter 4 -- (Summer)
I brushed my hair as I prepared for another day in class. I thought about Joe Jonas. He was so cute. I made sure I looked extra pretty today. I made sure my makeup was flawless and I even put on a little more perfume. They say a woman’s scent can really turn a guy on. If Joe was going to ask me for a ride home today, I was definitely not going to turn him down. I shouldn’t have turned him down yesterday. That was just me being shy. Im sure if it was Autumn, she probably would have had sex with him already.
I then heard Autumn come into the bathroom with me. She pushed her eyeglasses up onto her nose as she looked at me thru the mirror’s reflection. “Good morning sunshine.” She said to me and turned on the water to begin brushing her teeth.
“Going somewhere?” I asked her as I put my silver hoop earrings in.
I heard her mumble something while brushing her teeth.
“What?” I asked her with an annoyed expression.
She spit out the toothpaste fluids in her mouth and repeated, “I was thinking about going to Central Park today.”
I sighed. “I don’t want you out, Autumn. I don’t want you getting into any trouble.”
“Oh my God! What do you want me to do, stay in this freaking apartment all day long?! The walls are closing in on me, I can’t stay here all day anymore! You’re absolutely crazy if you think I will live within these walls everyday!”
“Alright, fine! You’re probably going to do what you want to do anyway.” I said as I rolled my eyes and slowly exit the bathroom.
For some reason I was feeling slightly sore. Sometimes they say when a twin gets hurt, the other twin feels their pain. I wondered if Autumn was sore. Before I had the chance to ask her, my attention turned to my television when the news anchor began to speak on a breaking news story:
“A well known successful real estate agent by the name of David Henrie, was found dead last night behind the Tavern’s Bar late last night just after midnight. The police have no leads as to what may have happened. The police would like for anyone who thought they may have noticed anything suspicious to please give them a call. Henrie leaves behind a loving wife and three kids….” The news anchor’s voice trailed off.
I turned around and saw Autumn standing at the bathroom door. She watch and heard the news also. I gave her a suspicious look. “Autumn….”
“Really, Summer? You think I had something to do with that man being dead?”
I squinted my eyes at her not sure if I could believe her.
“Summer, we just got here. Do you really think I would do something stupid like that? A married man at that?”
I turned around to grab my school bag and purse. “I hope not, Autumn." I started to walk away and then stopped when I felt the soreness between my legs. I turned to look back at Autumn. "By the way, did you hurt yourself yesterday or something?”
“No.” She said looking innocent.
I hesitated before I continued. “Just promise me, you will behave.”
“Scouts honor.” She said with a smile as she gestured the scouts honor sign with her hand.

N.Y.U College Campus
I sat in my regular seat again for History class. I looked around the small auditorium but didn’t see Joe. I assumed he was going to be late again. However as time passed and class ended, Joe never came in. I was slightly disappointed. I gathered my things after class and headed out the door. I still had time before my next class, so I decided to head toward the student lounge area. That’s when I heard someone call out my name.
“Summer! Hey Summer, wait up!”
I turned and saw Joe. I smiled when I saw him jogging up to me. He wore a gray NYU t-shirt and black jeans.
“Hey!” he said with a smile once he caught up to me.
“Hi. What happened to you in class today? I thought you would sneak in late or something.” I said as we both continued to walk toward the student lounge.
“I was there. I was actually early.” He laughed. “Yeah, I was sitting in the front row.”
“Oh.” I said quietly.
“So…you were looking for me?” he smiled at me.
I started to blush. “No…not really.”
He put his arm around me, “Aw, isn’t that sweet.” He teased me when he noticed I was blushing.
I gently removed his arm away from around me saying, “Whatever.”
Once we both got something out of the vending machines, we walked over to a couple of plush chairs.
“So what are you majoring in?” he asked as he dropped his book bag down on the carpeted floor.
“Business Economics.” I answered with a light smile.
“Oh…sounds like fun.”
“You?”
“Sociology.”
“So, what, are you trying to become like a social worker or something?” I said with one eyebrow raised curious as to why he would major in something like that.
“Nah, im trying to work in the justice system. You ever seen that show, Criminal Minds?” he asked as he popped the top to open his Dr. Pepper canned soda.
I shook my head no in response.
“It’s a great show, you should check it out sometime. But anyway, I like to see how people’s mind work, and if I can help in the justice system, then so be it.”
“Interesting.” I said very intrigued by him. I then continued to ask him, “So, what year are you?”
“Im a junior. Professor Nicholson knows me pretty well. I tried to take his History class twice now, and ended up dropping it twice. But I need this class. So this is my third try. But now that you’re in it…I have more than one reason to stay the whole semester.”
I smiled shyly.
“Of course that is, as long as you don’t end up dropping this class.” He smiled his charming smile.
I giggled. “No…I need this class too. I have to make it work.”
“Cool.” He then looked down at his silver watch on his left wrist. “Well, I should be going,” he said as he stood up. “My next class is all the way across campus. I just wanted to make sure I said hi.”
“Oh…well…hi.” I smiled.
He smiled back. “See you tomorrow.” He then walked away.
I wanted to stop him and ask him if he would take me home, but I couldn’t. I was too nervous. Next time, I swear I will.

(Autumn)
I watched my sister study as she buried her head into her school books once again. But she was oddly quiet today. “Hey sis. What’s wrong? You’ve been acting weird since you came home from school.”
“Nothing. I just have a lot of studying to do.” she responded without looking in my direction.
I looked at her suspiciously. I then thought about how she gave herself some extra primping in the mirror that morning. I then widened my eyes in shock. “It’s a boy!”
Summer looked up at me as her lips formed an O shape. “How did you know?”
“I didn’t…you just told me.” I smiled and sat down at the table with her. “Give me details! Is he cute? How did you meet him?”
Summer gave me the details about this boy named Joe Jonas in her History class. The way she described him, he sounded really hot. “I want to meet him!” I said eagerly.
“No!” Summer responded quickly.
“Why not?” I frowned at my sister.
“Because…just because.” Summer hesitated.
“What?” I said suspiciously folding my arms in front of my chest. “You think I will do something to him?” Summer didn’t respond.
“Oh my God…you’re so fucking paranoid, Summer. You’re my sister…I would never do anything to him.” I said seriously and then slowly smiled at the thought.
“See…look at you…you’re already having bad thoughts. Im going to bed!” Summer yelled as she packed up her school work.
I laughed. “Oh c’mon, Summer! I was joking!” I continued to laugh.
“Nothing. I just have a lot of studying to do.” she responded without looking in my direction.

Chapter 5 -- (Autumn)
Pretend Hair Is Black
After applying my eye makeup, I placed my chic black framed eyeglasses onto my face and ran my fingers thru my dark hair. I was ready to go to another club. It had been a week since my last sexual encounter with a guy. It was time to go have fun. I wore a gray shirt with black stripes which hung off my shoulders and short black shorts with my black stilettos. As I walked into Summer’s room, I could hear my heels click on our wooden floor to our lofty apartment. Summer was lying in her bed watching tv in her pajamas. God, she is so boring. I sighed as I shifted my weight on one leg and placed my hands on my hips.
“Summer?” I called out to her.
There was no response.
I realized she had fallen asleep. And to think…I was going to ask her to come with me…but I guess not. It was time to go have fun. It was way overdue. I grabbed the car keys and walked out of our apartment. I walked down the hall and pressed the down button to the elevator. Living on the 17th floor sucks sometimes.
As the elevator doors opened, there stood our cute neighbor. He smiled when he saw me. I think this was the first time I didn’t see him with a business suit on. He wore a dark green polo shirt and blue jeans. He stepped off the elevator as his eyes roamed over my body up and down.
“Do you like what you see?” I asked with a smirk on my face. I knew I liked what I saw when it came to him.
“I do.” He smiled. “How are you doing this evening?”
“Better, now that I see you.” I could tell he started to blush. For the first time I noticed he had dimples when he smiled.
“Good to know.” He gushed. “Heading out, huh?”
“Something like that.”
“Too bad…I would ask if you wanted to come over for a drink or something.”
“Hmmm,” I said as I gave him my flirty smile.
“It’s free..unlike where ever you are about to go.”
“What makes you think im going out for a drink?” I said with a slight attitude. Although he was right.
“Oh, im sorry, Summer, I just assumed.”
Ugh…he just had to say my sister’s name. I was turned off by him again. I pressed the down elevator button with annoyance. I was now ready to go and tired of entertaining this man.
“I don’t even know your name.” I said to him as I waited impatiently for the elevator to come back up to our floor.
“Im Nick, remember?” he looked at me slightly confused.
I figured he must have told Summer his name. At that moment, the elevator doors opened with a dinging noise.
I stepped into the elevator saying, “Oh…that’s right. Maybe tomorrow, Nick.”
“Okay…I’ll hold you to that ‘maybe’.” Nick replied with a smile.
------------
“Summer?” I called out to her.

(Summer)
N.Y.U College Campus
I pushed a few strands of my hair behind my ear as I gathered my history book and notes together. My History class was over, and I damn near slept thru the whole class. I saw Joe speaking to a female classmate of ours as I started to walk up the steps and out the door. I didn’t mean to, but Joe and I made eye contact.
“Hey Summer, come here.” Joe shouted just loud enough for me to hear him.
I placed my purse strap over on my shoulders and held my books close to my chest as I approached Joe and our female classmate. I had seen this girl before, but I never spoke to her. I didn’t speak to anyone really. Only Joe. She was really pretty. She had a cute innocent face but had a diva-ish style about herself. She smiled as she watched me approach them.
“Summer, this is Selena Romez. She and I have another class together for our Sociology major. Joe said with his charming smile as he introduced me to the girl named Selena. He then continued, “Selena this is Summer.”
We both shook hands as we greeted each other.
“Hi! Sorry we never got a chance to speak. Im always rushing out of here because I usually have work after this class.” Selena said rubbing her fingers thru her hair.
“Oh yeah…no problem.” I said with a smile.
“So ladies, since we have this test exam coming up that our dear old professor Nicholson has provided for us, what do you guys say we get together for a study group tonight? You guys available?”
“Yes! I could definitely use some notes to study for this test. I heard Professor Nicholson really gives hard exams; Especially the first one.” Selena said with a giggly tone.
Joe and Selena looked at me for a response.
“Uhm, tonight?” I asked with hesitation.
My mind instantly went to thinking about my sister Autumn. I wanted to be home to try and make sure she didn’t go out again like she did last night. The reason I was so sleepy today was because I was up all night waiting for her to come home. I even tried to look for her, but to no avail, Autumn came waltzing into the apartment this early morning around 3am. Typical Autumn appeared to be back at her antics of being out all night. That meant nothing but trouble.
“Yeah, tonight. Say around, 7-ish at my apartment. I don’t stay far from here at all.” Joe said interrupting my thoughts.
He stared at me as if he were forcing me to say yes. Selena also looked at me waiting for my reply. I found myself wondering if Selena had the hots for Joe. If she did, I didn’t want her to spend more time with him than I did. Therefore, I had to go to this study group thing.
“Sure! What’s your address?” I finally responded.
Joe smiled from ear to ear with pleasure. He seemed relieved that I would come. “Awesome! How about I text it to you. What’s your number?”
Without hesitation I gave Joe my cell phone number. It wasn’t until later I realized that was Joe’s sneaky way of getting my phone number. Otherwise, why couldn’t he have just written it down? I laughed at the thought. It was cool, I wanted him to have my number.

“You’re going where? And at what time?” Autumn asked me when I walked out of the bathroom.
“I said im going to a study group.” I repeated to her as I slid into my sandals. Autumn laughed at me. “Who does that?”
I looked at her with annoyance. “People who go to school to get an education and earn good grades, Autumn. Don’t be such an ass. Im doing this for us remember?” “Well you wont have to, if you let me go out and get a job.”
I rolled my eyes and proceeded to get my books together so I could leave for Joe’s place.
As I did this, my attention turned toward the local news anchor on the television:
“An unidentified man was found dead in a red Chevrolet Camaro last night. Another driver who was lost in the area, knocked on the man’s window when he saw the man half naked with a stiletto heel shoe enlarged in his neck. This bizarre killing is the second one after a very well known real estate agent manager, David Henrie, was murdered last week. The police have yet to find any leads on that case. The Funeral for David Henrie was held today as many of the close friends and relatives attended the ceremony...” The news anchor’s voice trailed off.
I looked over at Autumn. She looked back at me with innocent eyes. “What are you doing?” I asked her with disappointment in my voice.
“What are you talking about?”
“Where were you last night?”
“I was out.” Autumn said walking away from me heading off into the living room.
I followed behind her as the wedge heels to the sandals I wore clunked against our hard wooden floor to our lofty apartment. “Were you making out with some guy in his freaking car and ended up killing him?” I yelled at her.
She whipped her head back toward me. “Im so sick of you accusing me of doing these malicious things every time some… man comes up murdered!”
“We are here in New York, because of your malicious behavior, Autumn! Don’t you get it?!” I yelled at her.
She only stared back at me as if I were crazy.
I quickly turned around and ran into the bedroom to look inside the closet where we kept our clothes and shoes. I started to look for all of our shoes to make sure every stiletto heel shoe had its matching pair. I could hear Autumn walking up behind me as I raged in our closet looking for any shoe without its match. I glanced back at Autumn as she leaned against the wall with her arms folded and her brow raised. I sat on the floor with my legs tucked underneath me. To my astonishment, every shoe had its match. This meant one thing. The shoe enlarged in the man’s neck from last night, couldn’t have been Autumn’s shoe. I slowly raised to my feet and turned to face her.
Autumn looked down at her finger nails holding them out as if she had just polished and dried them. She then calmly stated, “Im waiting.”
“For what?” I asked.
“My apology. I deserve an apology.”
I should have known Autumn wanted me to apologize for accusing her of murdering the man in the news story tonight. But from her past antics, she can’t blame me for accusing her. I guess I was wrong this time.
“Sorry.” I said and started to walk away.
I immediately stopped when she placed her arm up extending it to block me from leaving out of our walk in closet. “I think you should say it like you mean it.”
I glared at her as she continued to look at her fingernails with her free hand.
“Im sorry, Autumn, for accusing you.”
She then slowly looked at me with a creepy smile. “Thank you.” She kissed my cheek and walked away from me.
I sighed and grabbed my school things and walked out of the apartment without saying anything else to her. Can I really believe her? I hopped onto the elevator and pressed the 1st floor. As I rode in the elevator by myself I prayed that Autumn was behaving herself. I was really beginning to like it here. I didn’t want things to mess up.
Once the elevator doors opened on the 1st floor, I walked off and nearly knocked down my neighbor, Nick. “Oh my gosh! Nick, Im so sorry!”
I noticed that Nick wasted his coke soda all over his shirt. He had some papers in his hands that were now soaked with coke. He looked frustrated that now his papers in his hands were covered with soda than the fact that his shirt was now drenched as well. However his expression changed when he saw that it was me.
“Ahhh…Summer. We run into each other… again.”
“Im so sorry.” I quickly grabbed some Kleenex from the box on a nearby counter to dry him off.
“No, no, it’s okay. Really.” Nick said trying to stop me from drying him off, which wasn’t really working anyway. He grabbed my hands forcing me to look up at him. “Summer, it’s okay. You can stop.”
“Im really sorry.” I said again feeling really bad. “I was deep into my thoughts and I just wasn’t paying attention. Please forgive me.”
Nick smiled showing a cute dimple in his left cheek. “Under one condition.”
“What’s that?”
“Have dinner with me tonight.”
I paused and looked up at him with a confused expression.
“Remember? It’s my way of welcoming you to the neighborhood.” He continued to smile. I couldn’t help but smile back at his cuteness. “Uhm…tonight? Yeah, I can’t. I have plans. Im in school and Im meeting up with some classmates of mine for a study group.” I noticed the disappointed look in his eyes. “Tomorrow, maybe?” I quickly added with an unsure voice.
“Great. So, should I pick you up, let’s say around… 7pm?”
I started to say yes, when I thought about Autumn. I didn’t want him to see Autumn there.
“Uhm, why don’t I just come to your place?”
“Even better. How about I cook you dinner? Any requests?”
I giggled. “Uhm…no.”
I didn’t know what to say. He was making me nervous. I started to blush. I could tell he noticed me blushing.
He chuckled. “You’re not trying to get all shy on me now are you?”
I giggled once again not making eye contact with him. I felt him lift my chin up with his finger forcing me to make eye contact with him.
“Don’t worry. I don’t bite.” Nick said softly.
He sounded so sexy.
“I uh…I should go. Im running late.” I blurted out. I then started to walk away.
“I’ll see you tomorrow night at 7 sharp, my place, right?” he said loudly to me.
I nodded yes as I walked out of the apartment building to head over to Joe’s apartment.
