Chapter 25 ~ Two Weeks Later
Sabrina & Raven
_ Raven knocked on Sabrina’s open office door. Sabrina was
standing up near her desk with the phone up to her ear and holding her
blackberry in her hand. She looked up to see Raven standing at her door with a
smile on her face. Sabrina waved for Raven to come into her office. Raven
walked in and closed the door behind her.
Sabrina said her final words into the phone and hung the phone back on its receiver as she sat down behind her desk. “Hey Rave.” Sabrina said without looking up at her.
“Hey girl. Are you ready for lunch?”
Sabrina looked up at Raven. “Lunch? Already?”
“Yep. It’s 12:30. We had a lunch date, remember?”
Sabrina looked back down at her cluttered desk. “Oh my gosh..Rave. I totally forgot. I have been so busy all day today. I’ve had meetings after another meeting, after another. Conference calls after another…I barely have had enough time to focus on my own deadlines.” “Soooo…what you’re saying is that, you can’t go?”
Sabrina gave Raven an apologetic look. “Im sorry.”
“It’s cool. But you still have to eat.”
“I will. I will grab something out of the vending machines.”
“Yuck. Vending machine food. Why don’t I just bring you something back? I think the little mail boy downstairs has been dying to take me out for lunch anyway.” Raven smiled and winked at Sabrina.
Sabrina smiled and continued to look thru some files on her desk. “That’s great Raven.”
Raven knew she was barely paying her any attention. It was only natural that she would be so busy. She had missed too many days of work. Since she’s been back, Sabrina has been a non stop work-aholic. Raven sat there and stared at Sabrina for a moment as her smile slowly faded.
“Brin…”
“Yea?” Sabrina answered without looking up at Raven.
“Nick called me again this morning.” Raven paused to see if Sabrina would respond.
Sabrina remained silent as she kept working.
“Brin…did you hear me? I said Nick called m—“
Sabrina stopped writing and snapped her head up at Raven. “I heard you.” Sabrina stated softly. She shrugged her shoulders and shook her head at Raven. “What do you want me to say?”
“Brin, you still haven’t returned any of his phone calls. He keeps wanting me to talk to you and begging me to get you to take his call or return his calls. It’s like he doesn’t believe that Im talking to you.”
Sabrina looked back down at her paperwork and darted her eyes up to her computer on her desk. She remained silent.
“Brin…if it’s over just tell him. Put the poor guy out of his misery.”
Sabrina continued to look at her computer and type on the keyboard. “Raven…it’s not like we were ever together anyway. It was just sex. He needs to move on.”
Raven laughed sarcastically. “Lies. All lies. You can’t tell me it was just sex. Im so not believing that.”
Sabrina stared blankly at Raven. “Believe what you want. It will never work between Nick and I. Long distance relationships, never work.” Sabrina paused as she looked back at her computer. She continued, “Besides…he has another baby on the way. It wont work.”
Raven sighed. “That’s a shame. You guys would make such a cute couple. I think you guys would have had cute little babies together too. Oh, wouldn’t it be cool if you guys would have had a little girl? It would be your first baby girl. Isn’t that what you always wanted? Girl, I can just see it now! It would be pink stuff all –“
"Raven.” Sabrina snapped at her friend wanting her to stop talking. “Do you mind? Im kind of busy.”
Raven cocked her head back. “Oh. Excuse me. Im sorry.” Raven giggled at her friend. “Well…I will leave you alone and let you work. I’ll bring you some lunch back…okay miss missy?”
Sabrina smiled at her best friend. “Thank you Raven.”
“Mmm-hmm.” Raven smiled. “One more thing. It’s Friday…I can tell already that you need a drink. Why don’t we go grab a drink or something after hours?”
“Uhhhh…I can’t.”
Raven placed her hand on her hip. “And why not?”
“Remember, Josh is in town. He’s coming by later.”
“So you’re still going thru with it, huh?”
Sabrina looked at her friend suspiciously. “What are you trying to say?”
“You said you guys have been talking almost everyday now. Is that why you won’t return any of Nick’s phone calls?”
“No.” Sabrina responded sarcastically as she squinted her eyes at Raven.
“Hmmph. Okay…if you say so. Well…have fun.” Raven said winking at Sabrina with a smile as she left her office.

Nick & Joanna
_ Joanna walked to her front door and opened it to see Nick
standing on the other side. She smiled. “Hey.”
“What’s up.” Nick stated flatly as Joanna welcomed him inside her apartment.
Nick looked around wondering where Joss was. Joanna noticed and informed him, “She’s taking a bath.”
“Daddy is that you?!” Josslyn screamed from the back room.
Nick smiled. “Hey pumpkin! It’s me!”
“I’ll be riiiiiight there! Don’t leave without me!!” she yelled.
Nick chuckled at the cuteness of his daughter. “Okay baby.” Nick responded.
“How are you feeling?” Joanna asked as she grabbed Josslyn’s overnight bag.
“I can’t complain.” Nick responded taking a seat in her living room.
“Are you still taking all of your medication for any pain?”
“Yes dear.” Nick said sarcastically noticing how she was acting like his mother.
Joanna smiled at him. She knew he was being sarcastic, but she secretly loved how those words rolled off his tongue by calling her 'dear'. She replied, “I just worry about you, that’s all.”
“I know. I appreciate that.” Nick said feeling slightly sad.
Joanna noticed how down he appeared. “What’s wrong? You seem sad. You should be happy. It’s your weekend with Joss.”
“Yea…I can’t wait.”
Joanna stared at Nick not believing him. “Have you ate?” she asked him.
“Not yet.”
“Here’s an idea. Why don’t all three of us go out for dinner…how does that sound?”
Nick thought for a moment. Ever since Nick was in the hospital he noticed a drastic change in Joanna. They were oddly getting along with each other. Joanna had been taking care of Nick a lot. She even drove him to work for a while when he was able to work again. She was actually there for him a lot and he appreciated that. He wasn’t sure if it was because she was pregnant or not. Joanna was even in contact with Nick’s mother a lot lately. Especially when his mom found out that Joanna was pregnant again. She was extremely happy to know that she was about to have another grandchild once Joanna showed her a sonogram of the baby. His mother even had the picture of the baby’s sonogram taped to her refrigerator. Nick found that odd when he still wasn’t exactly 100% sure it was his baby. However, Joanna continued to claim that Nick was the only one she’s been with and that was enough for Nick’s mother to believe her. Sandra, Nick’s mother, constantly told Nick that he needed to work things out with Joanna since they keep having babies. Nick found that hard to do when Sabrina was still weighing heavily on his heart and mind. He loved her so much. He had promised himself that he would never let her go out of his life again. But he felt that it was hard to do that when she lived in Atlanta while he lived in Gainesville. Plus…she wouldn’t even talk to him. He hadn’t talked to her since that day she rushed out of the hospital. He couldn’t believe how she just left him.
Joanna plopped down beside Nick on her sofa. “So? Are you down for it?”
Nick stared at her for a moment.
“Mommy Im readyyyy!” he heard Josslyn shout from the back room.
“Yeah…sure.” Nick replied to Joanna.
“Cool.” She said with a smile as she laid her hand on his leg hoisting herself up to get Josslyn out of the tub.

---------------
_ Sabrina was very nervous when she finally got off from work.
The sudden cold and windy day didn’t help either. Sabrina had been preparing
for this day now for the past two weeks with her son Cody. Cody didn’t really
know what to think of the fact that his biological father wanted to meet him.
She remembered Cody saying, “I wish grandpa was here with me. He’d know what to
say and do.” Cody would laugh thinking about his grandfather, Dean. Sabrina also still wasn’t sure that Josh
would come. However, he actually kept his word. He was really sitting in the
living room with her and Cody.
As Sabrina sat there and watched Cody and Josh converse with each other, she thought about how her nerves finally settled when Josh first rung her doorbell. She had just threw on her black leggings and a black and white loosely fitted top.
She thought about Cody’s expression. He looked as if he were shy when Josh first laid eyes on Cody. Josh’s expression was priceless. It was like he couldn’t take his eyes off of Cody. They first initially shook hands as they greeted. However, as Josh kept talking to Cody…Cody walked up to him and gave him a hug. This made Josh get a little teary eyed. Sabrina smiled as a tear streamed down her face. She was emotional at the fact that she didn’t have to tell Cody to give him a hug or even talk to him. Instead, Cody did it on his own. Even though he looked as if he wasn’t sure if he should hug this strange man, the funny thing was, just before Cody hugged Josh, he said, “Yeah…you kinda look like me.” Both Sabrina and Josh couldn’t help but laugh.
Sabrina thought that Josh’s bribery gift of the Xbox Kinect broke the ice even more for Cody to warm up to him. It worked. Josh even helped Cody to hook it up in the living room as they played it together. Sabrina decided to get in on the fun and play with them. Playing the game and talking, allowed the hours to fly by. Sabrina could tell Cody was getting tired the later it got.
They turned the game off and Cody sat with Sabrina in the plush chair in the living room as Josh sat on the sofa across from them. Sabrina wrapped her arms tightly around Cody as she laid her head on the crown of Cody’s head while Cody had his arms wrapped around Sabrina.
Josh smiled at the sight. “Can I take a picture of you guys?”
Cody lifted his head and gave Josh a wide cheesy smile before Josh even got his camera out.
Sabrina laughed at Cody. “I guess so.”
Josh chuckled as he pulled out his phone. “I can’t believe I left my camera at home. So my phone is the next best thing.”
“Its okay. Everybody uses their camera phone now a days.” Cody said as he held his position.
Josh agreed and took their picture.
“Can I see?” Cody asked once Josh took the picture.
Josh moved closer to them yet still sitting on her sofa to show them both the picture.
“Mom you look pretty!” Cody said as he rested his head back on her chest.
“And you look handsome.”
“I know!” Cody joked.
“You’re both right. Cody you are very handsome and Brin, you look absolutely stunning.” Josh said as he gazed at her.
Sabrina faintly smiled at him as she held Cody tightly resting her head back on Cody’s.
Josh sat back on the sofa staring at the two. He couldn’t believe how he had missed out on such a beautiful family. He took another picture of them as they remained in their candid position not posing for the camera. To him that was the best picture.
Josh cleared his throat and asked Cody, “So what’s our plan for tomorrow, buddy?”
Cody shrugged his shoulders feeling tired. “I don’t know. You’re spending the night?”
“Uhhh…well, he’ll be here in town for the weekend.” Sabrina quickly said making sure Cody understood that Josh was not spending the night in their house.
Josh laughed. “Your mom is correct. I was hoping that you and me can hang out tomorrow.”
“Just you and me? Without mom?” Cody asked slightly shocked and confused.
“Yeah…if that’s okay with your mom…?”
Cody looked up at Sabrina.
“If you want me to come, I’ll come. But I think Josh just wants it to be a boys day.” Sabrina said pinching Cody’s cheek.
“Well…we can hang out whatever way you want to Cody.” Josh added.
“Mom…I want you to come hang out with us. Is that cool?” Cody asked Josh.
“Very cool.” Josh responded with a smile.
Sabrina smiled. “Sure baby. I love you.” Sabrina kissed Cody’s forehead.
“Love you more.” Cody said sweetly as he closed his eyes feeling tired.
“Ready for bed?” Sabrina asked Cody.
“Nope. Five more minutes.” Cody said halfway sleep.
Sabrina giggled. “Yeah right…you can’t even last two more minutes your so sleepy. C’mon let’s go. Say good night to Josh.”
Cody tiredly got out of the chair with Sabrina and saying, “See ya tomorrow, Josh…uh..I mean, dad.”
“Good night Cody.” Josh smiled.
“Im going to take him upstairs, I’ll be back.” Sabrina said as she escorted Cody upstairs.
As Cody got under his covers, Sabrina knelt down beside his bed.
“So…?”
“I guess he’s alright.”
“It’ll get better.” Sabrina reassured him.
“I still don’t understand why he never talk to me before.” Cody said confused.
"I know baby. But guess what? You can ask him anything you want tomorrow. I think that’s why he wanted just you and him to hang out.”
Cody shrugged his shoulders. “I know…boys day. I miss grandpa. I know he’d come with me for the boys day. Then I wouldn’t have asked you.”
Sabrina wanted to cry but she held her tears back.
“Uncle Derek would go too…but he’s busy with the military thing again.” Cody added.
Sabrina silently sighed as she rubbed his short hair.
“Ooh! I bet your friend Nick would even go. He’s funny. He tells funny jokes.” Cody smiled thinking of one of Nick’s jokes he told while he was visiting them.
Cody made it even harder for her to try not and cry. She couldn’t believe he remembered Nick even though he was only here for a brief moment. Sabrina leaned forward and kissed his forehead as a tear escaped down her cheek.
As she pulled away, Cody frown as he looked at her. “Mom, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
“Happy tears, honey…happy tears.” She said as she smiled at him. She wiped her tear away and sniffed trying to put on her happy face for her son. “So…check this out. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Your mom, has got your back. I will be there for you. Screw boys day. It’s gonna be a fun day.”
Cody smiled. “Give me a high five. C’mon, you deserve a high five mom.”
Sabrina laughed and gave her son a high-five. She then leaned forward and kissed all over his face.
“Maaaa…” Cody complained.
Sabrina laughed and gave him one last kiss. “Love you.”
“Love you more.” Cody responded.
“Get some sleep.” Sabrina turned off the lamp that was beside his bed allowing his blue night light to shine in his room. Sabrina then closed the door behind her as she left.

_ “Oh my gosh, Im so freaking full.” Miley stated as she
pushed her plate away from her on the table.
Liam leaned into her as he wrapped her arm around his shoulder. “No dessert?” he asked inches away from her face.
Miley smiled, “Hmmm..maybe a little later.”
She then kissed his lips and quickly pulled away wrinkling her nose up at him.
“Eww…that’s just gross guys.” Joanna teased the young happy couple who sat across from her and Nick while Josslyn sat at the head of the table in a toddler chair.
Everyone joined in laughter as they talked around the table. However, Nick didn’t really say much. He may say a word or two here and there. He also may laugh at some crazy things Liam said, but other than that, Nick remained in his own thoughts. He wondered what Sabrina was doing at that very moment.
The whole dinner thing was Joanna’s idea. When she asked Nick about going to dinner, she later suggested that her sister Miley and Liam join them. It was rare that both Liam and Nick were off at the same time on the weekend like they were now. Joanna loved the idea of a double date. She always admired her sister’s relationship with Liam. Deep down inside, she now wanted the same with Nick. She was determined to try and make it work now that she was pregnant.
“I have to tinkle, mommy.” Josslyn said bouncing up and down as she sat in her chair.
“Okay. Let’s go find the restroom around here.” Joanna replied.
“I’ll come with you guys.” Miley said as she got out of the booth to join Joanna and Josslyn in the restroom.
Once all the females left the table, Liam looked at Nick suspiciously. “What’s up bro?”
“What do you mean?” Nick asked as he took a drink from his glass of ice water.
“Why are you so quiet?”
“Im not.” Nick responded nonchalantly.
“Dude…I know you. Are you thinking about those charges, Jacob is trying to push on you for breaking his nose?”
“Hell no. I don’t care about his punk ass.” Nick said with a slight frown.
“Good, because that crap is not going to fly anyway when dude stabbed you.” Liam said and shook his head at the thought. He then thought for a moment and asked, “Have you heard from Sabrina yet?”
Nick took another drink from his water. “Nope.” Nick stated dryly.
“You miss her, huh?”
Nick didn’t respond. Instead he chomped on the ice in his mouth he got from his glass of water.
“I can tell, bro. What are you going to do about Jo? I know im not letting the cat out of the bag when I say that she’s trying her best to push up on you and make a relationship.”
Nick slightly rolled his eyes as he looked away and sat back resting against the back rest. "I don’t know, bro. Im just so fuckin confused right now.” Nick finally stated feeling somber.
“About what?”
“About Jo. She’s made like a 360 on me. She’s so different. I don’t know if its due to her pregnancy or what. I know this much…she’s been there more for me than Sabrina.”
“Ouch.” Liam stated flatly.
“Yeah…ouch.” Nick said looking down thinking about Sabrina.
“Well…you can always take another trip up to the ‘A’.” Liam shrugged referring to the city, Atlanta.
“For what? Brin doesn’t want to talk to me.”
“Sounds like you need some sort of closure bro. Like chicks need.” Liam teased Nick.
“Shut the hell up.” Nick smirked at Liam throwing a fry at him.
Liam laughed out loud. He then said, “No but seriously, bro…you guys should talk. If she won’t take your phone call…just show up on her ass.”
“Well I can’t this weekend. I have Joss.”
“Then find the time, bro.”
Nick sat in silence in deep thoughts. Liam was right. He did need some kind of closure. Nick snapped out of his thoughts when the girls returned back to the table.
Josslyn hopped into the booth climbing on Nick and kissing his cheek.
“Did you wash your hands?” Nick asked Joss.
“Yep, smell.” Josslyn said shoving her hand into Nick’s face.
“Oh geez…thanks Joss.” Nick said quickly swiping her hand away from his face.
Josslyn laughed as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Well…thanks for the dinner lovely people…but we have to get home and have sex now.” Liam said scooting over so Miley could get out of the booth.
Miley’s eyes went wide in shock. “Babe! I can’t believe you just said that!”
“Well…we are, aren’t we?”
Miley playfully shoved him away from her. “See you guys later. Jossy see you in a few days okay?”
“Bye auntie!!” Josslyn smiled and waved as she kept her arm around Nick’s neck.
It wasn’t long before Nick was walking outside carrying Josslyn with Joanna walking beside him, as they made it to their car leaving the restaurant.
“Do you need me to take you anywhere before taking you home?” Nick asked as they walked to his car.
“Uhmm…no. Thanks, though.” Joanna said with a slight smile.
Joanna stood outside the passenger car door as Nick snapped Josslyn into her car seat in the back seat. As soon as Nick closed the back door, he looked over at Joanna wondering why she hadn’t got inside the car yet.
“What’s up?” he asked.
“If you don’t want to take me home, you can just take me back to your place. I don’t really feel like being alone.”
Nick knew that was her code for wanting to have sex with him. Nick figured that because she knew her sister was going to having sex that night, she wanted to as well. Nick thought for a moment. What did he have to lose? She was already allegedly pregnant with his child. It’s not like Sabrina was going to come around. Why not?
Joanna smiled when she saw him thinking about it.
“Alright.” Nick said giving her a lightl smile.
Joanna smiled and hopped into the car.

Nick's Apartment
_
Nick pulled up into his apartment complex. Josslyn had
fallen asleep. Nick carried her in his arms as Joanna followed close behind
Nick lightly holding on to the gray shirt he wore.
Nick slowly put Josslyn to bed. He then walked into his kitchen and saw Joanna taking off her strappy sandals while sitting in his living room. Nick walked to his refrigerator and took out a Corona. He popped open the top and threw the top into the trashcan.
As soon as he turned around Joanna was standing at the kitchen doorway gazing at Nick. Nick stared at her as he took a swig from his beer bottle. “You want something to drink?” Nick asked once he swallowed.
“No.” Joanna said softly as she walked up to him.
She walked up to him slightly pushing him against the kitchen counter. Nick continued to drink his beer. She looked up at him as she took her hands and slid them halfway up underneath his shirt feeling his hard muscular physique. She then lowered her hands down to the belt of his jeans he wore. Nick rested his left hand on the counter as he held his bottle with his right hand and continued to drink from his bottle watching Joanna attempting to undress him. She unbuckled his belt and started to unbutton his jeans. She slowly unzipped his jeans as she occasionally kissed and sucked on the side of his neck.
Nick was almost done with his beer when Joanna looked up at him and gently took the bottle away from him. Joanna gulped down the last two swallows left of his Corona into her mouth as Nick watched her while he rested both of his hands behind him on the kitchen counter. Joanna then placed the empty beer bottle on the kitchen counter next to him. She smiled flirtatiously up at Nick. She then raised Nick’s shirt up slightly as she knelt down in front of him and attempted to pull his jeans down.
Nick knew what she was getting ready to do when she knelt down in front of him. It was something she didn’t mind doing and have done to him many times before. However, Nick just wasn’t into her. He couldn’t carry on when Sabrina was still so heavily on his mind.
Nick grabbed her shoulders pulling her back up saying, “Jo, stop.”
Joanna was confused as she stood back up. “Baby, what? What’s wrong?”
Nick pulled his pants up a little and began zipping his jeans back closed. Joanna looked down and saw what he was doing.
“I can’t do this.” Nick stated softly.
“Why? Are you afraid you could cause a little pain to your side?” Joanna asked referring to the area where he was stabbed. “I mean, it’s okay. I’ll do all the work. You can just lay there.” Joanna said flirtatiously as she wrapped her arms around his neck attempting to kiss his lips. Nick quickly took her arms and gently pushed her away. “No…Jo…I just can’t.”
Joanna stood back as she narrowed her eyes at him.
He could tell she was getting angry.
“What’s the problem, Nick?” she asked angrily.
“I’ll take you home.” Nick said buckling his belt closed and walking away from her leaving out of the kitchen.
Joanna huffed with anger.

Sabrina's TownHome
_ Sabrina came down the steps to find Josh staring at her as
she walked down from putting Cody to bed. Josh gazed at her the
whole time she walked down and sat back in the chair she was previously sitting
in. “Brin…you did an awesome job raising him.”
“Thanks. My dad was a huge help with him.”
“That’s great.”
Sabrina smiled thinking about her dad and Cody.
“I guess I should be going. I have to find a vacant room at one of these hotels around here. Which would you recommend?” Josh said as he stood.
Sabrina stood back up as well. “You mean you don’t have a hotel room yet?”
“Nope.” Josh said slowly as he stared at her.
“Aww…I wish I had known, I would have told you to handle your business first before coming over. I hope you can get a room.” Sabrina said with sincerity.
Josh laughed. “Well, I guess that just answered my question on rather or not if I can stay here, huh?”
Sabrina raised her eyesbrows in shock. “You wanted to stay here?”
“Hey, I understand if you don’t want me to. I understand.”
Sabrina looked around her town home. “I don’t have anywhere for you to sleep. I mean this is just a two bedroom town home.”
Josh gestured to her sofa.
Sabrina looked at the sofa and immediately thought of Nick. “Uhmm…yeah…uhmmm..” Sabrina hesitated not sure what to say. “Im not sure how Cody will take it if he woke up to see you here. I mean…we’re taking things slow, right?”
Josh nodded in agreement with slight disappointment. “Gotcha.” Josh chuckled.
He started to walk toward her front door preparing to leave.
“So, what time are you coming by tomorrow?” Sabrina asked as she followed him, escorting him out.
Josh stopped at the door and turned to look at her. “What time do you want me here?”
“Whenever, it doesn’t matter. Just as long as you’re here…because Cody will be looking for you.”
Josh took a few steps closer to Sabrina and asked, “What about you?”
“What about me?”
“Will you be looking for me too?”
Sabrina giggled as she playfully pushed him in the chest, saying, “Josh…”
Josh grabbed her arm and quickly pulled her close to him as he crashed his lips on hers. Sabrina was caught by surprise as she tried to pull away from him.
“Josh, st—“ Was all she was able to get out before he pulled her into him and hungrily kissed her again.
Sabrina found herself kissing him back as she gradually wrapped her arms around his neck. She was immediately sent back eight years ago when they were dating. She hated to admit but she missed the way he kissed her. He always kissed her like he was in such a rush. He never cherished their kiss the way Nick would kiss her. Josh quickly began pushing her back toward her sofa as he continued to kiss her. His hands began roaming her body as he roughly grasped different parts of her body. They fell back onto her sofa with Josh laying on top of her as his hands continued to roam her body. He was nothing like Nick, Sabrina thought to herself. Yet she couldn't understand why she kept kissing him. She could feel Josh's hands slide under her top and squeeze her breasts hard over her bra. His kisses began to get rougher. Sabrina started to push him away as she turned her head away from him.
“Josh..wait…stop!”
Josh moved his rough kisses down to her neck as he began to suck on her neck.
Sabrina’s mind suddenly took her to the fact that Josh was Zack’s cousin. His roughness began to take her back to that night when she was 14. Was he really being rough with her or was it all in her head as his cousin Zack flashed into her mind. Sabrina found herself getting angry. Sabrina maneuvered her knee underneath him pressing it up against his chest and pushed him away with all of her might with the muscles of her leg.
“GET OFF OF ME!!” she shouted loudly. She then continued to kick at him as she maneuvered herself to sit up. “Asshole!”
Josh was knocked down to the floor. He looked up at her with complete and utter shock in his eyes. “What the hell, Sabrina?”
Sabrina adjusted her clothes and stood up on her feet marching to the front door. “Get out!” she said as she opened the door. “Sabrina…wait…let’s talk about this.”
“There is nothing to talk about…just get the hell out.” Sabrina demanded with anger in her eyes.
“Wait…now…I thought you were into it. You were just as into it as I was. Why are you acting like this?”
Sabrina huffed in anger. She marched up to him and began pushing him out of the door. “Get out!”
“Hey, Im sorry alright. Sabrina, wait! Im sorry!”
Sabrina managed to push him out of her door and quickly closed and locked it shut.
“Brin…Im sorry.” Josh said calmly on the other side of the door.
Sabrina leaned against door holding her stomach and not responding.
“Are we still on for tomorrow?” Josh asked as if he already knew her answer was going to be no.
Sabrina remained silent. She turned the lights off letting him know she was going to bed and he was no longer welcomed.
Josh slowly turned and walked away.
Sabrina suddenly felt nauseated. The room felt like it was spinning as she slowly tried to keep her balance as she stumbled toward the steps. Once the room stopped spinning, Sabrina felt like she was about to vomit. She rushed upstairs to her bedroom and darted into her bathroom. There is where she ended up vomiting all of her dinner.
Sabrina remained sitting on the floor of her bathroom for a few more minutes to make sure she was done vomiting. She took off her top and rested her back against her bathroom wall with her knees up to her chest as she rubbed her forehead. She suddenly started to feel better as her nauseous feeling was passing. "What was that all about?" Sabrina quietly asked herself wondering why she had suddenly felt so sick like that. She wondered if the thought of being with Josh actually made her sick now that she knew Zack was his cousin. Was it in her mind that Josh was being so rough, or was it just her being over dramatic when Zack kept popping up in her head?
Once Sabrina took a shower and put on a night shirt, she climbed into her bed thinking if she should still allow Josh to come around tomorrow after what had took place that night. She didn’t want to deny Cody of his time with his father, Josh.
Sabrina then thought about asking Raven to join them. Sabrina dreaded the moment when her and Josh would be alone, however with Raven there, she knew things would be different. Sabrina knew that once she tell Raven what happened, she would gladly accept the invitation to join them.
