Chapter 6 -- (Summer)
I adjusted my fitted yellow thin low cut shirt and smoothed over my black skirt with my hands as I approached Joe’s apartment. I pushed my hair forward over my shoulders and knocked on his door. I was so freaking nervous.
A guy answered the door as he laughed from what appeared to be from a previous conversation he was having prior to opening the door. I was afraid I had the wrong address.
“Uhm, is Joe here?”
“Yeah, yeah. Come on in.” He said with a smile.
He opened the door wider for me to step inside. That’s when I saw my classmate, Selena and Joe sitting on the floor near a table in the middle of the floor. Joe raised up from the floor when he saw me. He looked so cute wearing a simple red t-shirt and blue jeans.
“Hey! You made it. We were getting worried that you may have gotten lost.” Joe said with his charming smile and perfect teeth.
He then gave me a light hug. The cologne he wore smelled fresh and light, yet intoxicating. I liked it. “Yeah, sorry Im late. I kind of had a lot going on.” I made up something to say.
My eyes then shifted toward Selena still sitting on the floor with an open book on the table. She smiled and waved at me. I smiled and waved back.
At that moment, the guy who opened the door slid up to Joe and wrapped his arm around his shoulder wearing a huge smile on his face. “Yo Joe, don’t you want to introduce me to your super pretty friend here?”
Joe laughed at his friend. He then continued, “Summer, this is my long time buddy and roommate, Shane. Shane, this is my classmate and friend, Summer.”
The guy named Shane removed his arm from around Joe and gently took my hand into his hand. “Pleasure my dear.” He said with a smile. He then turned to Joe saying, “Everyday, you’re making me want to go college with you, dude. You are meeting too many fine women there.”
I started to blush at the compliment.
Joe playfully shoved Shane out of the way and gently grabbed my hand to lead me into the living room where Selena was sitting. “Make yourself comfortable. We have pizza and beer. Well that is if you drink…but if not, we have soda.” Joe said as he remained standing as if he would bring me something to eat and drink.
I wasn’t really a drinker, but to relax I would drink a glass a wine. “Do you have wine?”
Everyone seem to stop in their tracks and looked at me with shock. What? Does no one drink or ever heard of wine?
Before I could say anything, Joe looked back at Shane. “Wine. Do we have any wine?”
“Uh no. No wine.” Shane said looking shocked that I asked for wine. He then added, “Joe, I like her. The girl has class.”
Joe smiled as he looked at me.
“If wine she wants, then wine she gets.” Shane said loudly as he grabbed a pair of keys from the kitchen counter.
“You’re going to go get it?” Joe asked almost in a shocked tone.
“Yeah.” Shane responded in a tone as if saying 'duh'.
“Dude, you’re just trying to get out of here.” Joe laughed at his roommate as he gave him a dap handshake.
Shane smiled, “Yes I am, but I will go get this beautiful girl some wine. I shall return ladies and gents!” Shane shouted as he walked out of the apartment.
Joe shook his head as he watched his friend make a dramatic exit out of the apartment. He then turned his attention back to me. “Pizza?”
I nodded with a smile. “Sure.”
That’s when I noticed another familiar face from my class come down the hall of Joe’s apartment.
“What is your crazy roommate yelling about now?” the guy asked as he pushed his glasses up on his nose. Selena giggled. She then looked at me saying, “You know Daniel, right?”
“I’ve seen him, but I never met him.” I responded.
Selena then introduced Daniel to me. “He’s the genius of the group.” Selena said with a mouthful of pizza in her mouth.
“Gee thanks for the compliment. Now the pressure is on.” Daniel replied taking a seat down onto the floor next to Selena.
Selena laughed out loud.
I couldn’t help but laugh myself. I had a feeling I was going to have a good night.

Selena laughed out loud.
I couldn’t help but laugh myself. I had a feeling I was going to have a good night.
A few hours later everyone appeared to be drained from studying. It was a great study session with great conversations in between.
Selena yawned. “Guys. I don’t think I can take anymore. Im done.” She started to close her books and notebooks as she grabbed for her book bag.
“I agree. If we fail, we just fail professor’s Nicholson’s test.” Daniel said as he also started to pack up. “Hey, just make sure you sit beside me so I can look off your paper.” Joe said in a joking tone. However I didn’t think he was joking.
“Yeah right, asshole.” Daniel said with a small laugh.
I smiled as I began packing my things up as well.
“Its been fun. I will see you guys in class tomorrow.” Selena said as she started to walk out toward the door.
Joe escorted her out as Daniel followed close behind.
I on the other hand really had to use the restroom. All of the water I drunk was really laying heavy on my bladder. I raised up to my feet and saw Joe coming back towards me.
“Are you leaving too?” Joe asked.
“Yeah…but I really have to use your rest room.”
“Oh yeah, sure. Go straight down the hall and it’s the first door on your right.” Joe directed me. “Thanks.” I said and made my way to his bathroom.
His bathroom was a typical guy’s bathroom with only the essentials he needed. I couldn’t help but be nosey and begin looking inside his medicine cabinets. There was nothing out of the ordinary. I guess he was a normal guy after all. I flipped my hair forward over my shoulders as I looked at myself in the mirror. I straightened my skirt and walked out. He was sitting on his sofa finishing up his can of sprite soda. He looked in my direction as I came down the hall and back into the living room with him. He stood up with a smile. I smiled shyly at him.
“Thanks for the pizza and soda. I should be going home myself.”
“No problem. Im glad you were able to make it. It was fun, yet confusing.” Joe smirked as he thought about the group’s study session.
I agreed. “Yeah, thank God for Daniel. I hope I pass the exam tomorrow.”
“Im sure you’ll do fine. So much so, I think we should celebrate after we take the test tomorrow. What do you say, we do lunch? Dinner? Or lunch and dinner?” Joe said placing his hands in his jean pockets.
I thought about my neighbor Nick who asked me out for dinner tomorrow night and then I thought about my sister Autumn. I definitely had more of a crush on Joe and would love to spend my time with him. But Nick was such a sweet and handsome guy. I already told him I would have dinner with him. The only solution would be to either reschedule with Nick or have Autumn be with Nick and myself with Joe. The only problem with that is, I never know what kind of antics Autumn would be up to. I just don’t trust Autumn with Nick.
“Is that a yes? A no? A maybe?” Joe laughed nervously.
I laughed nervously with him. I realized I was too much into my thoughts and not answering him fast enough. “Yes.” I blurted out.
“Really? Awesome. So…lunch and dinner or just dinner?” he slowly hesitated.
“Uhm…both.” I said and instantly starting to panic.
I can’t believe I just said that.
Joe smiled as if he had just accomplished his goal. “Nice. Im looking forward to it.”
I smiled not making eye contact with him. I took a deep breath and reached for my books and purse. “I should go.” I said slightly nervous.
Joe started to walk me out the door when his roommate burst in.
“Alright, alright! I know, I know! I took too long, but you will not believe the hottie I bumped into.” Shane said and then finally realized that I was the only other person in the apartment with Joe. His eyes widened and then fell calm as he raised his brows. “Im sorry…did I just interrupt something.”
“Nah, man. Summer was just leaving. Thanks for not bringing the wine she asked for.” Joe said sarcastically to Shane.
“No, no. Actually I did bring it.” He abruptly pulled out a bottle of wine from a brown bag he was holding. He gestured to it saying, “See.”
I giggled. “Thanks. Save it for next time maybe?” I said with a little uncertainty as I looked back at Joe. Joe smiled at me. “Most definitely.”
“Bye guys.” I said to the both of them as I made little eye contact with them and exited out of Joe’s apartment.
I smiled at the thought of Joe’s roommate Shane. He was a very animated character…but he seem pretty cool. As I waited for the elevator, I couldn’t believe I just landed a date with a really cute guy. Autumn would be shocked. Maybe even jealous. I continued to smile at the thought as I hopped on the elevator.

(Autumn)
It was getting late and my sister still hadn’t come home yet from her so-called study group. This was putting a wrench in plans to go out clubbing tonight. Within the next few minutes I heard the door open and she waltzed inside with a huge smile plastered on her face. I gave a weird expression confused wondering why she was so happy.
“Guess what?” she said with a smile as she plopped down on the sofa beside me.
“What?” I asked with one brow raised waiting for her response.
“I have a date.”
I frown and cocked my head back. “You? A date? With who?”
She suddenly raised up from the sofa and responded as she twirled around, “With the cutest guy ever! Joe Jonas.”
“The same guy you told me about from your class?”
“Yep.” She smiled excitedly looking down at me waiting for my response.
A smile slowly crept upon my face. “Congrats, Summer! Im so happy for you! How did you manage to ask him out?”
“I didn’t. He asked me out!” she smiled and walked away toward the bedroom.
I followed her. “Details…give me details.”
Summer proceeded to tell me how things went at her study group. All the little googly eye contact her and Joe supposedly made thru out the night. I almost wanted to gag. She acted like she was actually in love with the guy or something. “So, now he wants to go out for lunch and dinner with you, tomorrow?”
“Yep.” Summer smiled as she took off her sandals preparing for bed.
“Maybe I should meet you guys for lunch tomorrow. I would love to meet him.” I smiled intrigued by this guy my sister was so head over heels in love with.
Her smile suddenly faded. “No.”
“Why not?”
“Because…just because.” Summer hesitated.
“Oh-kay…well, how about I meet you guys for dinner or something?”
“No.” Summer said softly once again as she put on her pink pajama pants and tank top.
I frowned at her rejecting me. “Are you trying to hide me from him?”
Summer laughed nervously without looking at me as she shook her head no.
I knew she was lying. “Did you even tell him about me?”
She then walked toward the kitchen. I followed her. I knew she were looking for something to drink. It was her ritual before bed every night to drink a glass of wine. Little did she know, she drunk the last of her wine last night.
“Autumn…it’s not about you, okay. For once, I really like someone, and Im not going to allow you to mess it up for me. And that’s final.” She said looking for her bottle of wine.
“And you’re worried about me? You’re the one with the problem. You’re an alcoholic. You drank the last of it last night.”
Summer slammed the cabinet closed and walked back toward the bedroom. “Whatever.” she mumbled.
I followed behind her.
She continued, “And by the way, Im not an alcoholic. Even if I were, I’d rather be an alcoholic than some crazed sex –“
“Don’t start Summer. You’re just jealous.” I said interrupting Summer.
She crawled into bed giving me one last glare. I glared back at her. She smacked her teeth and laid down, throwing the covers over her head. “Whatever, Autumn.” I heard her mumble.
I smirked and walked away.
I’ll let her have her fun with this Joe guy tomorrow for lunch. But I can’t let her have all the fun with him... Im dying to meet him.
“Guess what?” she said with a smile as she plopped down on the sofa beside me.

Chapter 7 -- (Summer)
N.Y.U. College Campus & Professor Jack Nicholson
“Now I want you all to hear me, and hear me well. There will be absolutely no cheating. Cheating is not tolerated in my class.” Professor Jack Nicholson said slowly yet firmly. He then walked to his podium and grabbed a stack of papers as he appeared to look at each student in his class in the eye.
He made me nervous. It may have been just me, but I felt like he stared into my eyes the longest. He then walked into the aisle that separated the first row in the auditorium. He divided the stack of papers in his hands and handed the stack of papers to the students seating on the end of the row. He then stated in a quite tone, “Trust me, I will know if you cheat or not. Now…Take one sheet and pass it. You may begin once you receive your exam.” He then walked behind his desk and took his seat, relaxing as he propped his feet upon his desk.
Within the next few minutes, Selena handed me my test exam sheet. I then handed the rest of the stack of exams over to Joe on my right. I looked down at my exam sheet and saw three questions. Three essay questions. I sighed and rolled my eyes. This was professor Nicholson’s way of knowing if we cheated? Great.
As I took my test, I would hear students one by one get up from their seats and turn in their exams to the professor and leave the room. It was obvious that once you were done with your test, Professor Nicholson excused you from the rest of the class period. Daniel was excused and then Selena was excused about five minutes later. Joe and I seem to have gotten up at the same time about 10 minutes later. We made eye contact and smiled at each other. He was so cute. He wore a white t-shirt under a yellow and blue plaid shirt with dark jeans.
I approached Professor Nicholson’s desk and handed him my test as I ran my fingers thru my hair. “When will we find out our grade, sir?” I asked softly in order to not disturb any other students still taking their test.
“Soon my dear. Very soon.” he responded.
I smiled slightly and slowly walked away waiting for Joe to turn in his test as well.
“So you survived to take my first exam, huh Mr. Jonas.” Professor Nicholson said with a smirk.
Joe smiled. “Are you kidding? Im surviving the whole semester.”
Professor Nicholson laughed.
Joe and I continued to walk out of the small auditorium with our school books. Once outside, I took a deep breath in a sigh of relief. “Oh my God, Im so glad that is over. He makes me so nervous.”
Joe laughed. “He’s an ass.”
I laughed with him.
“Ready to go eat?”
“Im starved.” I said with a smile.
“Great. I know a really great place near –“
“Hey guys!” interrupted a familiar female’s voice from behind us.
Joe and I both turned to face the person calling out to us. It was Selena.
I found myself slightly annoyed with her. But I smiled once she approached us.
“Where are you guys headed?” she said in a chipper voice.
“We were just off to grab something to eat at Olive Tree Café right down the block.” Joe said with a slight smile.
“Cool! I love that place. Mind if I join you guys?”
YES I mind! That’s what I wanted to shout out loud, but nothing came out. Joe and I exchanged glances without saying a word. Joe then shrugged his shoulders and looked back at Selena.
“Yeah, sure, why not.” he replied.
Selena smiled extensively. “Awesome, I left one of my notebooks back in professor Nicholson’s class, so I will meet you guys there.” She then turned and quickly ran off back toward Professor Nicholson’s class.
I felt Joe tug on my arm gently.
I looked at him and said with a disappointed tone, “I thought you and I had a lunch date.”
“We do. We are. But I was hoping tonight would be more so of 'the date'. I have a little special surprise for you later.”
I honestly wanted Joe all to myself for the rest of the day. But I guess I would have to settle for Selena to join us.
Joe noticed my disappointed look on my face. He stepped up closer to me and softly said, “Im sorry, Summer. I mean, we can always tell her we had plans of our own.”
I looked up at him and saw the sincere look in his eye. “No, it’s okay.” I then looked away and smiled at the thought that he had a surprise for me later for dinner. “I’ll just wait for later so we can be…you know…alone.” I felt my face turn red out of embarrassment.
I couldn’t believe I just said that.
I glanced up at him and saw him smiling at me. “You are so cute when you get all shy on me like that.” He chuckled as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

Olive Tree Cafe Restaurant
“You know what I just realized?” Selena said as she looked at me with a questionable expression. “I don’t know anything about you. Last night, we were studying and kind of joking around but I never got to really know you, Summer. So where are you from?” She finished as she took a sip from her fruit punch drink.
I looked at Joe who also seem interested to hear my response. I guess he would be curious since Joe didn’t really know me either. I started fidgeting in my chair as I responded.
“Oh, well…Im from a little bit of everywhere. My family and I traveled a lot.” I smiled to try to wear off my sudden nervousness.
“Cool. So like, where all have you lived?” She asked pouring ketchup over her fries.
“Uhm, mostly on the west coast.” I said all of a sudden feeling like I was in an interview.
“So, where were you born?” Selena asked as she bit into a french fry.
“Seattle, Washington.” I glared at her.
“Seattle? Nice. I have family in Seattle.” Joe said with a smile as he placed his arm around the back of my chair.
I glanced over at him with a slight smile.
“Do you have any brothers or sisters?” Selena asked stuffing another french fry into her mouth.
I narrowed my eyes at her. Why was she questioning me like this?
Before I could say anything, Joe jumped in as he sat up in his chair. “Geez, Sel. What’s with the third degree all of a sudden?”
Selena stopped in mid chew as she looked over across at Joe. “What? Im sorry, Im just trying to get to know her, that’s all.”
“Yeah, but I feel like im being interrogated or something.” I said softly without looking at either Joe or Selena.
“Oh. Im sorry. I didn’t mean any harm.”
I shot a glare up at Selena before taking a sip of my ice tea. “No problem.”
I could tell Selena noticed the firm glare I shot at her. She looked over at Joe wondering if he noticed, but Joe was too busy eating his burger with the condiments falling out of it as he took a bite.
Selena cleared her throat as she looked down at her fries. “Well, all of my family is in Central America.” “What part?” I asked feeling like it was my turn to interrogate her.
“Guatemala.”
Joe started to chuckle. “Yeah, in our freshman year here at N.Y.U, Selena’s mom came to visit her. She was so funny.”
Selena started to giggle as if she thought about the time Joe was speaking of.
I looked over at Joe feeling an urge of jealousy and asked, “You met her family?”
“Well not her entire family, just her mother.” Joe looked at me slightly confused at my sudden jealous streak. He then smirked and continued, “I used to stay in the dorms here on campus. Her mother wondered onto the guys dormitory area. She was so embarrassed.”
“More like I was so embarrassed. My mom was screaming and totally freaking out seeing so many guys thinking I was the only female in the dorms.” Selena said as she and Joe started to laugh reminiscing the moment.
I only smiled slightly and stirred my straw in my iced tea glass. I felt really awkward being there with the both of them. I suddenly felt like the third wheel when this was originally supposed to have been me and Joe’s date. Alone. I guess Joe noticed my glum expression. I felt his eyes burning into me as he slowly stopped laughing with Selena.
He then leaned into me saying, “So, when can I meet your family?”
I laughed nervously and quickly shook my head no as I thought about Autumn.
“No? I can’t meet them or I wont be able to meet them?” Joe asked with a smile.
“I don’t know.” I said shyly not making eye contact with him.
I could hear Selena burst into a quiet laughter. “Joe just got shot down.”
“I guess I did.” Joe said still looking at me a little disappointed.
“No, Im not shutting him down.” I said to Selena. I then looked at Joe saying, “Im not shutting you down. I just…well…I don’t really have any family.” I said now looking back down at my food.
I felt ashamed. I was now disowning my sister like the rest of my family have done. But that was Autumn’s fault. She brought this on us. Because of her, our family abandoned us. I may be disowning my sister for the time being, but I could never abandoned her.
“Why don’t we change the subject.” Joe said as he gently placed his hand on my knee. It was like he was reading my mind and knew I was uncomfortable talking about family. I looked over at him with an adoring expression. I loved the fact that he was so compassionate with me. I smiled saying thank you with my eyes.
Several minutes later, we all finished our lunch. Selena gathered her belongings together as she prepared to leave. “Well, I should be leaving. I have to be at work soon. Thanks for lunch guys. It was fun. Hopefully, professor Nicholson will have our test grades soon.” Selena said with a wide smile.
Joe stood up as Selena excused herself from the table.
I started to gather my belongings as well and stood up.
Joe looked at me. “Leaving already?”
I smiled. “Yeah, I should go. Thanks for lunch.”
“No problem.” He said gently grabbing a hold of my hands. “Im sorry about Selena. I promise, later tonight its all about you and me.” He smiled his charming smile.
I smiled back saying, “You promise?”
He chuckled. “I promise. Should I pick you up about 7pm?”
“No.” I said quickly.
He raised his brow in shock of my quick and sudden response.
“I will come to your apartment. I will be there around that time.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah. It’s not a problem. I’ll see you then.” I responded with a smile.
“Alright.” He then extended his arms out wanting to hug me.
I accepted his embrace by leaning into him and wrapping my arms around his torso. I felt so safe and comforted by his embrace. I almost didn’t want him to let me go. I was so looking forward to our dinner date. Alone.

Part 2 -- (Autumn)
Autumn's Dress
I flipped and ran my fingers thru my hair as I looked into the mirror. “Mmm, I look good.” I admitted out loud to myself. I glanced over at the clock which read 6:05pm. I was right on time. It was time to go have some fun with my sister’s new boy toy, Joe.
I walked into the living room and saw Summer laid out on the sofa. My heels clicked on the hard wooden floor beneath me as I walked toward her. I adjusted my eye glasses on my face as I looked down at her shaking my head. I picked up her wine glass and kissed her forehead. Poor thing looks like a drunken mess. I smiled as I carried her wine glass into the kitchen. I washed out her wine glass and picked up the wine bottle on the counter. What is it about this wine that my sister loves so much? I took a few swigs from the wine bottle. My taste buds were surprised at the delicious intake of the wine. I had to admit…it was good. I replaced the wine bottle back to its storage space. My poor Summer, she had no idea I crushed sleeping pills into her glass of wine to knock her out. She had her fun at lunch with her little so-called boyfriend Joe and now it was my turn. It’s not my fault she refused to allow me to meet him. If being a spoiled little bitch is how she wants to act…then I shall react in the same way. I smiled as I got Joe’s address from her cell phone. I straightened my tight mini black dress, and walked out the door.
As I turned to lock the door from the outside, I heard a familiar male’s voice. “Summer?” I turned to see our a half naked neighbor, Nick, looking oh so good. He was toting a laundry bag of clothes, wearing light gray sweatpants, and no shirt. His muscular chest and sculpted abs instantly turned me on.

I smiled. “Hi there.”
“Hey. Were you on your way over here?” Nick asked as he continued to walk up the hall and stopping at his door to his apartment.
I swayed my way up to him. I giggled at his cockiness. “ ’Over here’ as in over to your apartment?”
Nick looked slightly confused for a second when his expression changed to awe as he stared at me. I walked up close to him as I looked down at his laundry bag full of clothes. It was obvious he just came from the laundry room of our apartment building. I then looked up into the chocolate brown eyes waiting for his response.
“Well, yeah. We have a dinner date tonight, remember? At 7pm…?” He said unable to keep his eyes off of my body.
I smiled at the thought of him staring at my body. I made sure to straighten my posture as I stood there pushing my chest out toward him.
“So we have a dinner date tonight? And you’re doing laundry?”
He chuckled as he finally brought his eyes up to meet my eyes. “Well, I thought I would have plenty of time considering how fine looking women like yourself allow themselves to be fashionably late.”
I laughed.
I couldn’t believe my shy sister had a dinner date with two hot guys tonight. She’s turning into quite the popular girl isn’t she? However she never told me about the date with Nick. I wondered how she was going to pull this double date off.
“We can always start the date early if you like. Would you like to come in?” Nick asked interrupting my thoughts.
I glanced down at his hairless, chiseled chest. How can I turn this sexy beast down? I would have to leave Joe alone for another time.
I smiled. “Sure thing, handsome.”
Nick smiled and opened the door for me to enter inside of his apartment first. I know his eyes instantly dropped down to my nearly backless dress and my plump ass as I walked in. I made sure to give him a show as I sexually swayed my hips walking into his apartment.

Chapter 8 -- (Autumn)
Inside Nick's Apartment
“So this is what a bachelor pad looks like, huh?” I said in a flirty tone as I looked around his living room.
He had a nice apartment. But I wasn’t all that impressed.
“Uhm, yeah, I guess you can say that.” Nick said placing his laundry bag by the door as he continued to stare at me.
“Smells good in here. What did you cook?”
Nick finally walked around in front of me towards his kitchen. He smiled showing his dimples. “Well I haven’t really started. I just prepared to make my special sauce for my Italian pasta casserole for dinner tonight. I hope you like pasta.” He said in his sexy low voice.
“Mmm. Sounds delicious.”
“Good. I don’t like to disappoint my guests.”
I looked at him up and down noticing a slight bulge coming from the sweat pants he wore. I smirked.
“From the looks of it, my expectations are high, and so far, Im not disappointed.” I said giving him a wink.
We gazed at each other for a moment.
Nick then clasped his hands together as if snapping out of the trance I was putting him under. “Well, excuse me while I go get dressed.”
“Oh no. You don’t have to. I like you just… the way… you are.” I said walking up to him allowing my index finger to trace along his chest down to his abs.
I think I just heard him swallow hard.
He cleared his throat and asked, “Uhm, can I get you something to drink?”
“What do you have?” I asked with a seductive smile.
He raised his hand and gently moved my hair to the side of my black framed eye glasses. “What do you like?” he asked me in a husky tone.
I couldn’t help but giggle. He was so hot and sexy. I looked down at his nicely sculpted abs and placed my hands on his flat ridged board stomach and slowly raised my hands up to his chest and around the back of his neck.
“I like you.” I said softly and then gently biting the corner of my lower lip.
I could feel Nick’s hands wrap his hands around my back and slowly slide his hands down to the small of my back. His hands slowly rounded my ass and grabbed a hand full giving it a soft squeez. “Mmm. I like you too.” Nick said almost in a whisper.
“Where’s your bedroom?” I asked while my lips lightly brushed against his lips.
“Do you really want dessert before dinner?” he asked with a smile.
“How about, just a taste first..?” I answered looking down at his lips.
This guy was different. Something about him was really intriguing. There wasn't anything I said that he didn’t have a response for. He was teasing me just as much as I was teasing him. He continued to hold me close to him as he re-gripped my ass. I stuck my tongue out and licked his lips. That must have been the icing on the cake for him, because in that next instant, he attacked my lips with a hungry kiss. Our tongues began a war as we kissed each other in heat. I lowered my hands and gripped his crotch. I liked what I felt. I couldn’t wait to have him inside of me. As we kissed he pushed me against his kitchen table and raised my short dress over my ass exposing my black thong. I could tell he was pushing the plates and silverware set up for the dinner we were to eat, over to the side. He then swiftly picked me up and sat me down on his table as we roughly kissed each other. His lips began to trace down my neck as I wrapped my legs around his waist. I extended my arms out to the side touching the rim of a plate and what felt like a fork and knife. I started to release exotic noises from my lips as I felt his hands between my legs.
“I want you.” I gasped out. “I want you inside of me… now.” I said as I reached toward his waist to start pulling his sweat pants down.
I could feel his hands start to pull at my thong when there was a loud hard knock at his door. We both abruptly stopped and looked at each other.
I sat up slightly. “Are you expecting someone?” I asked very annoyed that someone was interrupting us. Nick glanced around as if he were looking for something. “No. Maybe if we’re quiet, they will go away.” He said as he started to softly kiss my neck and lay me back down on his table.
I was going to play along with him until the knocking continued. I raised up again almost in a panic when I thought about how it could be Summer on the other side of that door. But it couldn’t be…could it?
“Answer it.” I harshly demanded to Nick.
He gave me a weird look for a moment and then agreed as he took his hands off of me. The bulge under his sweat pants was clearly extruding out from him. It was obvious he wanted me as much as I wanted him. He quickly walked over to his living room and grabbed a pillow from his sofa. He hid the bulge in his pants with the pillow as he walked toward the door to answer it. I slid off the table lowering my dress back over my ass and ran my fingers thru my hair to look presentable. I stood back and waited to see who would be standing on the other side of the door.
He had a nice apartment. But I wasn’t all that impressed.

Nick answered the door and there stood a male and female I had never seen before. They both suddenly held up what look like to be police badges. The female spoke with a smile as she flicked her head to the side to remove her auburn colored hair from her bright green eyes.
“Hi. Nicholas Mathison?”
“Nick.” He corrected her. He then continued in a puzzled expression, “What can I do for you?”
“Hi, Im Detective Mandy Cyrus from the Los Angeles Police Department –“
“Los Angeles?” Nick asked confused interrupting her introduction.
“Yes…” The detective then gestured to the man standing behind her, “…And this is officer Spencer Pratt from the New York City Police Department. Do you mind if we come in and ask you a few questions?” she finished as she continued to smile.
Nick looked back at me and then back at the police standing at his door. “Uh…yeah, I guess.” Nick stepped back to open the door wider for the police to step inside his apartment.
The police looked at me once they stepped in and Nick closed the door behind them.
“Hi. Im Detective Mandy Cyrus and this is Officer Spencer Pratt…and you are?”
“Uhm…Im Aut –" I immediately stopped myself remembering that Nick thinks Im Summer. “Im Summer.” “Summer…?” Det. Cyrus asked waiting for me to tell her my last name.
“Lovato. Summer Lovato.” I responded.
“Excuse me, but, what’s this all about, detective?” Nick asked as he grabbed a t-shirt from his laundry bag and threw it on over his head.
“Ian Somers…does that name sound familiar to you?” Det. Cyrus asked.
Nick folded his arms across his chest as he walked over toward me and answered, “Yes. I work with him. But he wasn’t at work today or yesterday.”
“Is it true that you were with him a couple of nights ago at a local bar here in the city?”
Nick shifted his weight to one leg as he continued to look at both the detective and officer Pratt in confusion. “Yeah, we went there after work to grab a couple of drinks…why?”
The detective then turned her attention over to me. “Do you know him?” she then showed me a picture of the man in question by the name of Ian.

Ian Somers
Before I could respond, Nick answered for me, “No, she wouldn’t know him, she just moved here. Look, what’s this all about? Is he okay?”
“Have you been watching the news lately, Mr. Mathison?” Officer Pratt asked Nick looking at him suspiciously.
Detective Mandy Cyrus looked back at the officer with what seem like an annoyed expression. She then turned her attention back to Nick.
“No, sorry I haven’t. I work a lot.” Nick said a little defensive.
“He was found murdered in his car the other night.” Detective Cyrus informed Nick.
“With a stiletto shoe heel enlarged in his neck.” Officer Pratt added.
“Thank you Officer Pratt.” Det. Cyrus sarcastically said firmly thru her teeth without looking back at him.
She then softened her tone when she noticed the shocked expression on Nick’s face. I looked at Nick as his arms collapsed to his side and leaned back on his kitchen counter.
“He’s dead?” Nick asked in a low tone with pure shock in his eyes.
“Im afraid so. So we need you tell us everything you can. It appears that you were the last one to see him alive." Det. Cyrus responded.
“Yeah…I mean, I’ll tell you anything you need to know.” Nick said taking a deep breath.
This I had to hear. Since I was the one who really knew what happened to Ian Somers. But I couldn’t be the one to tell the police: “Yes, detective that was my shoe in Ian’s neck you found.” I wanted to laugh out loud at my thoughts but instead I raised my hand up to Nick’s chest and rested my head on his shoulder as if trying to comfort him.
Detective Cyrus pulled out a small notebook pad and pen asking, “Did you two leave together out of the club?”
Nick ran his fingers thru his hair as he thought about that fateful night. “Uhm…yeah. Well…we started to. He said that he had left something back inside the bar. I told him that I would see him at work the next day and I hopped into my car and left.”
That’s weird. I never saw Nick at that bar.
“Did you see him speak to a female at all while you both were at the bar?” Det. Cyrus asked with a serious expression.
“I mean…we both talked to a few females, but none that really stood out. It wasn’t like he told me he had made plans with some girl there at the bar.” Nick said with a puzzled expression trying to reminisce on their every move at the club.
No, Ian wouldn’t tell him. Ian and I made eye contact when he walked back into the bar. He told me he was just about to leave when he saw me. Poor guy.
I adjusted my eye glasses on my face and folded my arms as I continued to listen intently to their conversation.
“Okay. Do you mind coming down to the station and making a statement for us?” Det. Cyrus asked.
“Yeah sure.” Nick said as he walked away to grab his shoes from his bedroom.
“And you, Mrs. Lovato, correct?”
“Miss. Im not married.” I corrected the detective.
“Right. You just moved here in the area? Do you live around here?”
“I live right across the hall, actually.”
“Oh. How convenient.” She said as she looked at me up and down.
Was she jealous of how hot I looked when all she wore was a simple shirt and jeans? What I do know is that Officer Spencer Pratt couldn’t keep his eyes off of me. I ran my fingers thru my hair as I stared back at the officer.
“How long have you been here?” she asked me.
“Here meaning…in New York City?”
“Yes.”
“Only a few weeks.”
“Oh. From where?” detective Cyrus asked me as she narrowed her eyes at me.
“Los Angeles.” I said as I narrowed my eyes back at her.
Am I on trial here or something?
I then continued, “That’s where you’re from, right? Didn’t you say you were the police from L.A.?”
At that moment, Nick walked back into the living room where we all stood.
She smiled in response to me, “I did.”
Officer Pratt chimed in, “Im sure you’re familiar with the case the media called “The Female Human Mantis.”
I gasped as if I had never heard of such a story. Of course I have heard it before…I was the ‘The Female Human Mantis.’ I noticed Detective Cyrus shot the officer an evil look as if she never wanted him to mention it.
“Yes, I remember that story. What? Is the same thing happening here?” I asked in my best surprising tone.
“Well, we don’t know yet. But we’re hoping not.” Detective Cyrus stated.
“The female serial killer?” Nick asked as he hopped up from his sofa and walked over toward us.
I saw Officer Pratt nodding his head yes.
“Let’s not start spreading rumors shall we. Are we ready to go here?” Det. Cyrus said frustrated and walked toward Nick’s door. However, not before shooting the officer another evil glare.
“Can you give me a second?” Nick asked as he looked at me and then back at detective Cyrus.
“Sure, we’ll be right outside the door. Officer Pratt, can I speak to you for a second?” she finished firmly speaking thru her teeth at officer Pratt.
He nodded and followed her out the door.
Nick turned to me with a disappointed expression. “Summer, I hate that our time has been interrupted.”
“I know. That sucks.”
“Yea…I just can’t believe this happened to my close associate from work. It’s rather disturbing, you know?” “Oh, of course, most definitely.” I agreed with a subtle sarcasm in my voice.
Honestly I could really care less. The guy was just a good fuck for me.
Nick wrapped his arms around my waist. “Maybe we can finish where we left off later or reschedule…?” he asked as he brought his face close to mine.
“Of course. If you get done with everything tonight, just stop by.”
Nick smiled and shoved his tongue into my mouth as he kissed me.
After we pulled away from each other, he smacked my ass as I walked away from him. We then both exited out of his apartment.
I was not only escorted by Nick back to my apartment, but I was escorted by the detective and the officer. Can we say awkward? I cracked open my apartment door and turned around to face Nick.
He kissed me on the cheek and said in a low husky voice, “I’ll talk to you later.”
I nodded okay as he walked away with Detective Cyrus and Officer Pratt. I noticed officer Pratt staring at me so I gave him a flirty wink.
As I walked back inside my apartment, I laughed out loud at the whole situation. Summer would not be happy that the police was hot on this case again. But I wasn’t worried like my sister would be. Things will never lead up to me. I looked at my sister still knocked out on the sofa. I refused to stay in this place for another night. Nick had worked up my adrenaline but yet there was no adrenaline rush I was looking for. I needed someone to satisfy my needs.
I waited a little longer inside my apartment before heading back out to have some fun for the night. Perhaps I should make my way over to Joe’s apartment after all. I smiled as I hopped on the elevator on my floor and pressed the down button.
